Sales & Marketing Management
Peter joined Goldschmidt in 1999. He started as a mechanic in the production team. In 2008 he was promoted to supervisor for hydraulics and mechanics in production. He then worked 7 years as sales area manager for North America, Italy and new markets. Since 2023 he has been Head of Sales and Marketing.
I oversee the sales and marketing team to ensure that they meet agreed targets and tasks. I am responsible for developing the existing markets together with the area managers and analysing new potential markets and projects. As a member of the company management team, I also take part in setting the strategy and ensuring the operational excellence of the company.
One of the most exciting aspects of my job is to be a part of the progress of the company. This involves new sales opportunities, developments and projects that can be a success for the company. Working in the international arena is very challenging but also very rewarding for me.
Goldschmidt provides a fair and good working environment. This in combination with the interesting railway industry gives me a good working life in which I thrive.
Even though we are about 1,100 employees worldwide, there is a positive “small company” feeling. This results in good communication channels for decision-making. The company has a good working atmosphere which takes the potential for ideas and thoughts into consideration.
