Leonardo joined Goldschmidt in 2011. He started his career at our location Thermit do Brazil in Brazil as technical salesman, later worked as sales supervisor for the South American market and as sales manager with responsibility for all sales actions. Recently, he was appointed Managing Director of the company.
I am committed to the goals of the group and the synergy with the Goldschmidt strategy. In my position as Managing Director I am responsible for integrating and monitoring all departments and promoting team performance. I focus particularly on production, sales and cost control. Of course, this is a team effort, and it would be impossible to do this without the commitment of all employees.
What is most exciting at my job is the opportunity to inspire people and get them to work well together and contribute their best to the work, and in this way overcome the challenges we face as a team and achieve our goals. When we work on an international project involving two or more companies of the group, it shows that individually we are good, but together we are unbeatable.
Goldschmidt is a great group that is committed to results, but also to people. There is a very good atmosphere, respectful and collegial, where talents are valued and where there are opportunities and encouragement for professional development. Working at Goldschmidt allowed me to develop other language skills and work in business situations that gave me a lot of expertise. Goldschmidt also gave me access to an MBA in Business Administration at one of the most prestigious institutions in the country, not to mention the various internal and external leadership trainings I completed.
