Road-rail vehicle specialist Goldschmidt Sweden AB has secured the EBA approval for its LRB®26 vehicle for the German market. The authorisation underlines Goldschmidt’s technical expertise and commitment to the development of modern construction vehicles for the railway sector.
The German Federal Railway Authority (EBA) has granted approval for the LRB®26 road-rail vehicle, designed and manufactured by Goldschmidt Sweden AB, for the German market. This step represents a significant achievement for the entire Goldschmidt Group and underlines the company’s comprehensive expertise in modern railway construction vehicles.
The LRB®26 was developed specifically for the maintenance and construction of rail infrastructure, with a special focus on overhead line work. The vehicle features a hydrostatic drive system and a swivelling railway bogie, enabling swift and seamless transitions between road and rail for maximum flexibility on the construction site.
The EBA approval confirms that the LRB®26 meets all applicable requirements, including Directive (EU) 2016/797 on the interoperability of the rail system, Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/545, EN 15746-1 (working and travelling), EN 15746-2 (safety), EN 15746-3 (running mode), as well as relevant German national regulations.
