Young talents shine at regional Jugend forscht competition in Halle

On 17 February, the 61st regional Jugend forscht and Jugend forscht junior competition took place in Halle (Saale). Goldschmidt company Elektro-Thermit, together with SLV Halle GmbH, once again hosted and supported the event, at which around 40 STEM projects were presented. The 13 best projects qualified for the Saxony-Anhalt state competition.

The topics covered in this year’s competition ranged from the comprehensibility of AI-generated texts in school lessons to sustainable everyday solutions such as a solar-powered cat food dispenser. The jury was impressed by the participants’ innovative strength and scientific spirit.

Special thanks go to all the volunteer jury members, supervisors and long-standing competition director Harald Adler, who was awarded the Golden Needle of the Jugend forscht foundation for his outstanding commitment.

We congratulate all the winners and wish them every success in the state competition in April!
