Vehicle-mounted inspection systems from Goldschmidt enable efficient and comprehensive monitoring of the condition of rail infrastructure over long distances. By integrating various measurement and testing technologies into a single system, multiple inspection tasks can be carried out simultaneously – whilst maintaining high measurement speeds and causing minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

The systems combine different testing methods such as ultrasonic, eddy current, laser and optical measurement technology within a modular platform. This allows both rail defects and track geometry, profiles and other infrastructural parameters to be captured in a single measurement run.

The modular system architecture enables flexible adaptation to specific requirements and maintenance strategies. Depending on the application scenario, different measurement modules can be combined and integrated into existing vehicles or specialised measurement vehicles.

Through automated data acquisition and seamless integration into digital analysis and IT systems, vehicle-mounted inspection solutions enable the efficient and consistent execution of large-scale inspections, as well as informed decisions based on reliable condition data.
