Based in Brno, Czech Republic, Form-Thermit, spol. s r. o. is focused on Thermit® welding technology and insulated rail joint solutions for railway construction and maintenance. Since its foundation in 1993, the company has developed into the Global Centre of Competence for insulated rail joints and a trusted partner for railway operators, contractors, and infrastructure managers.
Form-Thermit combines technical expertise in Thermit® welding, the development and production of insulated rail joints, and on-track installation services with comprehensive customer support and training activities. As part of the Goldschmidt Group, the company contributes to international railway projects while maintaining strong local presence and operational support in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Form-Thermit was founded in 1993 in Brno, Czech Republic, as a subsidiary of P.C. Wagner. From the outset, the company focused on the manufacturing and supply of Thermit® consumables, on-track installation services, technical support, and welder training.
In 2003, Form-Thermit became part of the Goldschmidt Group, strengthening its international integration and expanding its access to global railway expertise, technologies, and customer networks.
Since 2016, the company has served as the Goldschmidt Group’s Global Centre of Competence for insulated rail joints, reinforcing its position as a global leader in the development and production of insulated rail joints.
Today, Form-Thermit operates as a comprehensive partner for railway construction and maintenance projects, combining global technical expertise with strong regional support capabilities in Central Europe.
