My role as IP Manager moves between technology and law. I protect our innovations and monitor the patents of other market players. When writing a patent, I enjoy transforming abstract technological ideas into legal text and brainstorming with the engineers about products to ensure that the patent is broad enough to cover all variations. The IP Management department is also the first point of contact when it comes to possible IP infringements by other market players.
The most exciting aspect of my work is translating the engineers’ innovative ideas into legal formulations. I also enjoy exchanging ideas about our innovations with the examiners at the patent offices.
